Finally some good news on the injury front. Francisco Lindor has started doing baseball activities. Still no timetable, but he’s absolutely progressing now.

Additional injury updates: Francisco Alvarez is a freak. He’s already back hitting and doing catching drills. It appears he could beat out the eight week timetable. Both Jared Young and A.J. Minter will likely be back during this series. Young tomorrow and Minter tomorrow or Wednesday. Jorge Polanco could go on a rehab assignment this week. Kodai Senga will pitch his second rehab outing on Thursday.

I’m ready to see Ryan Clifford get at bats over Mark Vientos. Look at this plate appearance: he swings at a four seam fastball that’s a foot off the plate. It’s not even a fastball with any cut or bite, just a straight four seamer and he’s clearly committed to swinging before he even steps in the box. Then on pitch three, he chases another pitch that was never a strike. He’s unwatchable right now. #lgm
