U.S. Air Force Major Alex Klinner arrived at Dover, Delaware Air Force Base in a dignified transfer home. It was days ago when Major Klinner and 5 of his crew members died as their refueling plane crashed in Iraq. 33-year-old Klinner (pictured with wife Libby months ago) was a 2011 graduate of Auburn (AL) High School and a 2016 graduate of Auburn University. He was the Chief of Squadron Standardizations and Evaluations at the 99th Air Refueling Squadron in Birmingham. Major Klinner’s wife Libby is a University of Alabama graduate. Two years ago, Alex and Libby welcomed a baby boy and 7 months ago they welcomed twins, a boy and a girl. The family was just settling into their home in Trussville, AL. Attending the arrival along with Libby Klinner was President Trump, Senators Katie Britt and Tommy Tuberville and other White House officials. Sarah Harrill is Libby Klinner’s sister. She said of Alex and Libby: “They had an incredible God-centered marriage. They really were true partners and worked together and made decisions together. They looked for opportunities to serve each other and that was reflected in their daily lives.” While the Klinner family mourns, we mourn with them. #USAF #Military #RIP

We're remembering Army Capt. Kimberly Nicole Hampton, who served as commander of Delta Troop, 1st Squadron, 17th Cavalry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, Capt. Hampton was killed when her OH-58D Kiowa Warrior helicopter was shot down by enemy fire near Fallujah, Iraq, becoming the first female U.S. military pilot to die from hostile action. She was 27 years old. Her courage and leadership continue to inspire. Rest in peace, Capt. Hampton. God bless you for all eternity.

One of the service members who lost their life in the aircraft crash in Iraq was Tech. Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt, who served with the 6th Air Refueling Wing at MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. She spent 9 years in the US Air Force. She leaves behind a husband, a three-year-old daughter, and a stepson. May her memory and her sacrifice forever be a blessing.

Your daily Carson Benge update: He has reached base safely in four consecutive plate appearances and has a six-game hitting streak. Benge's spring slash line is up to .387/.457/.484. With each passing day, it's becoming harder and harder to justify leaving Benge off the roster.
