I wanted to give some thoughts on @stablekwon following his release from prison 🌕 Firstly I can’t imagine how physically and mentally tough it’s been for him over this last year. We both have daughters of a similar age and not being able to spend this time with her and see her grow was probably the worst part - I hope they can be reunited soon 🫶🏻 With $LUNA v1 I found something I could get extremely passionate about. Decentralised money for a decentralised economy resonated perfectly with my libertarian values and I truly wished to see it succeed. Whilst I’ve been slowly recovering my portfolio over the last 2 years it feels somewhat hollow with nothing else coming even close to reigniting that passion I and many other lunatics shared for Terra & $UST. In the immediate aftermath of the crash, despite the eyes of the world and the wrath of the crypto communities & authorities being upon him he reached out to me. He spent some time sharing his early vision of Terra v2 and providing some comfort and advice to me as a prominent member of the terra community, someone who has just lost almost their entire crypto net worth and has given up their Fiat job to work full time on a Terra protocol - only to see everything disappear in the space of 72 hours. He recounted a particularly inspiring story from his own life about hitting rock bottom financially and subsequently building back from nothing which I’ve carried with me on my own rebuilding quest. I do hope he’s been able to watch from afar on what I’ve done building up @TheLionDAO on Terra v2 and how we have kept REKT LUNAtics alive through the bear market and through his absence. I hope we can reconnect in the not too distant future and he can share his thoughts and ideas to help grow to the next level. People who weren’t involved in the Terra v1 ecosystem have lapped up the idea that Do Kwon is some sort of super villain similar to SBF. But those closer know he was an incredibly high IQ builder with an inspiring vision, that unfortunately ultimately failed. You will struggle to find a Terra OG that didn’t understand the risk of $LUNA & $UST and believe that there was any malice or intent behind the failure that lies at Do’s door. Certainly many mistakes and unsustainable growth, but hindsight is a wonderful thing. Beyond hopefully a family reunion for Do, I personally can’t wait to hear what he’s been able to dream up over these last 12 months, should he decide to make a return to crypto. One thing is for sure: Never bet against the moon 🌕
