@Gitmo99 How did they get the use of a airplane to film this thing? The damage to those seats is no joke. And why did they film it? Obviously for views, but are those people community theater actors?

Who is a character actor who has delivered consistently excellent, scene-stealing work for years without ever becoming a household name, and deserves far more recognition?

@JohnnyCallicutt So much to unpack here. Had this happened before, thus Fritzi's reminder to, "Use the shampoo?" How did Ernie feel about having to render Nancy's skull?

@Reprrid This isn't staged. Not at all. Security cameras always have registration lines, and the words, "Security Camera." Also, it's very common for high school kids to go looking for the thief, who hides in a convenient dumpster. Worked, though. Got my engagement.

On March 4, 1905, TR took the oath of office wearing a ring almost no one could see. Hidden inside: a strand of Abraham Lincoln's hair, delivered to the White House the night before with a three-sentence note. ghostsofdc.org/2012/01/08/the…

There is a restaurant in Paris that sits on the 5th floor of a Haussmann building, directly above a Kenzo store, with a glass dome ceiling and an unobstructed view of Pont Neuf and the Seine. It is called 𝗞𝗼𝗻𝗴. Designed by Philippe Starck and opened in 2003, Kong was built on a concept that is hard to summarize simply — Starck himself described it as something that exists "somewhere between Paris and Asia." The ghost chairs, the geisha faces on the ceiling, the manga-inspired frescos painted by Starck's daughter Ara: none of it should work together, and somehow all of it does. It was featured in the series finale of Sex and the City in 2004, the episode titled "An American Girl in Paris: Part Deux," and the reservation requests that followed never really stopped. The cuisine is Franco-Japanese fusion. The glass verrière (skylight) on the upper level is the room everyone wants to sit in. On a clear evening, you can see the Pont Neuf, the lit facade of La Samaritaine next door, and the Louis Vuitton headquarters across the street three very different chapters of Paris history visible from one table.

@Mgleclair Not on the ranch, but it was on the wildlife loop road. We even took a side road that put us right through a couple prairie dog towns. Those things are cute!

John Carpenter sits confidently in the hot seat on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?" in 1999, wearing a blue shirt and glasses, as the final $1 million question appears: Which U.S. president appeared on "Laugh-In"? The studio falls silent in suspense. He uses his final lifeline to call his father, calmly telling him he isn't calling for help, but to say he's about to become a millionaire. He then locks in the correct answer, and the studio erupts, sealing one of the most legendary game show victories in American television history.
