My colleague, my friend Nicola-a scrub nurse took her own life last week
She scrubbed for me in OT earlier this month
She was such a bubbly personality- no one had any idea what was going on in her mind
Its a fact we (doctors,nurses & other HCWs) are hesitant to seek help

If there was any doubt why our nursing staff can take no more just read this account. Of course I’m not at all surprised that staff are terrified to speak out. Even after taking strike action to secure safe staffing nothing has happened. It’s just got worse.

Been in hospital many times and never been treated like this. A mattress and chair and literally nothing else. No toilet. Not allowed to leave the room. It could take a few days in this room. I've stopped eating and drinking. Treat me like a prisoner and an animal then so be it.
