@luv1bun I got pregnant 2 months before my 19th birthday. That baby turned 45 today.

I was 19 and had a medical abortion at 5 weeks. I found out after my period was 3 weeks late and two tests came back positive. My partner supported whatever decision I made, which meant a lot. At the clinic, I confirmed I was 5 weeks pregnant and scheduled the abortion the next day. I took the pills (mifepristone, then misoprostol). I didn’t have severe pain... just diarrhea, light cramps, and bleeding for about 5 days. Painkillers and rest helped. Two months later, I feel both relief and occasional “what if” thoughts. I know it was the right decision for me, but it still crosses my mind sometimes. My partner continues to support me, reminding me it was our choice. In short: It’s okay to feel scared, unsure, or emotional. Whatever you decide, make the choice that’s right for you...

Twitter today is making me realize that the following work by men might not register when wives consider the division of domestic labor: 1) Recaulking the tub 2) clearing bathroom drains 3) organizing the garage 4) pulling up poison ivy in the yard 5) Changing light bulbs 6) Cleaning the gutter 7) Tightening the screws on the kitchen cabinet hinges 8) Changing out the propane tank on the grill 9) Weeding the front walk 10) cleaning out the filter on the dishwasher 11) Sharpening or replacing the mower blade 12) Splitting firewood 13) Tightening the bolts/screws on furniture and bookshelves 14) Replacing fuses in the HVAC 15) Cleaning out and organizing the shed 16) Scraping the accumulated plant debris off the driveway. 17) Setting mouse traps 18) Checking mouse traps 19) Replacing the loose screw in a door hinge with a longer screw 20) Getting the right light bulb from the store. 21) Organizing the light bulbs. 22) You get the point

@JustinParmenter Averages are affected by the length of teachers’ careers. Experienced teachers are leaving because of lack of discipline (no consequences). That is what brought down the average. Just paying more without fixing the structural issues won’t solve anything

Order the six dollar meal at McDonald’s. Double cheeseburger, fries, 4 chicken nuggets, and a small drink. I noticed a $.40 up charge on my drink because I was given a large. I asked for $.40 back and the manager wanted me to return my large drink and give me a small drink. Lol
