I’ve been watching for over 30 mins. No-one has mentioned growth. Do they know that the economy matters? Where do they think the money they want to spend comes from? #walesdecides2026 #wales #politics

This is what we are dealing with. Sackman is a barrister. She should be ashamed of herself. The fact that she betrays either a lack of knowledge of, or a disregard for, the fact that we have a presumption of innocence in our criminal courts speaks volumes.
Idle Courts@CourtsIdle

A poor choice of language from the hapless Sackman @ 22.33 “If people are innocent and want to prove that innocence they’ll get a fair trial”. She describes the Bar Council as a “vocal minority”, which speaks volumes. overcast.fm/+AA9hL5Yj_Rk

@JakeWSimons People do care. I care. There is, at a glacial pace, slightly more coverage day by day on mainstream media. Keep the faith.

,@dogbox19. Lawyers have fairly strong unions, though they don't call them that.
Dogbox@Dogbox19

@to10186 @ClarkeMicah @ProfKarolSikora There are literally no middleclass professions with strong unions other than Drs, fast stream civil servants & teachers (if you consider it a profession). Plenty of non-professional jobs have strong unions: bin men; local authority clerks, nurses, firemen, train drivers, cops etc

Morning all, sorry I’ve been quiet. Sadly, we lost Norman last week. Sam found him with a serious leg injury in his field. Best advice was to let him go peacefully. He’s probably looking down on us now and laughing about my pension. Sam doing ok but obvs absolutely gutted.

After 4 years and 52 pupillage applications, this year is finally my year! I now have a tough decision to make, but I feel very lucky to be in such a position after these years. I'm going to be a barrister!
Gabriel Tan@finishedloading

Rarely share personal news here but - no pupillage for me this year. The time for reflection will come but for now I’m allowing myself to experience the disappointment. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the process, I’m really grateful! 🙂

Grr. This is such a miserablist technocratic approach to results-day. It robs pupils of an important collective right-of-passage & teachers of a key morale-booster, evidence all their hard graft has changed lives. Honestly, Labour hasn't got a clue about education. OR real lives

Through our Plan for Change, we’re harnessing technology to bring exam results into the 21st century. Much easier for students, less paperwork for parents, less admin for teachers, and less costly for taxpayers. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

@Sandra55 It’s fabulous! Well done. That might end up being something she really cherishes in adulthood. Lovely.

Son bought grandchildren around today. Weeks ago Meg asked to to knit a dragon 🐉😳😳😳& she provided me with instructions. I knit said dragon but told dad not to let her take it to school for fear of being teased it’s so awful Meg picked it up today and is delighted 😂😂

Moved. Nearly. Half our stuff still on a van. Blowing a massive storm down on the coast and I can’t find our bedsheets but we have our own home together for the first time. Can’t wait to spend some happy times here with my bloody ace husband ❤️

Finding some joy in the autumn leaves. We visited the cemetery so I could talk to him about the stone being removed and when it's back it'll include Isabelle. He's recently been telling us she's still in the mortuary so I wanted to gently encourage a chat about it. He's our hero x

Thank you @UofGlasgow for bestowing upon my mum the honorary degree of doctor of the University of Glasgow. This has brought her so much joy in the final beats of her life. Janey is so honoured, and I am so immensely proud of her. Congratulations Doctor Godley. Ashley Storrie
