Hello My dear brother @dansmywholename. I wanted to flag an underreported but highly important case set down for hearing at the Gauteng High Court from 4–8 May. Tomorrow.. Major commercial law firms - Norton Rose Fulbright (NRF), Bowmans, Webber Wentzel, and Werksmans + Solidarity are challenging the Legal Sector Code. On the opposing side are key legal institutions, including the General Council of Advocates Bar of SA, PABASA, LPC and transformation bodies such as the Black Conveyancers Association Basadi ba Molao South African Women Lawyers Association At stake is more than the legal profession. This case goes to the heart of: whether sector-specific transformation codes can deviate from generic B-BBEE frameworks. How transformation is measured - inputs vs outcomes and whether enforcement mechanisms in high-value professions are lawful and workable The judgment could have implications far beyond the legal sector, potentially shaping how transformation is approached in other industries. Given the calibre of legal teams involved and the policy implications, it is surprising how little public attention this matter has received. I thought being a member of the legal sector, I can bring it to your attention Kindest PK

Top South African law firms are challenging the new B-BBEE Legal Sector Code of Good Practice. The code was gazetted in 2024 and sets strict transformation targets. It requires up to 50 percent black ownership and race-linked procurement and briefing practices. Tune in to #eNCA, channel #DStv403

A family in Alex is urgently appealing to the public for assistance in locating their 16-year-old daughter, Lesedi Leshabane, who has gone missing under concerning circumstances. According to her parents, Lesedi was last seen on 29 April 2026 at around 17:00 when she left home. She briefly returned the following day, 30 April, at approximately 11:00, but later ran away again and has not been seen since. The situation has raised serious concerns for her safety after she allegedly made threats about ending her life before disappearing. It is further suspected that Lesedi may be in the company of a 30-year-old Nigerian man believed to be driving a red Toyota Starlet, described as a stanced vehicle and locally known as “68 Hero.” The family is pleading with anyone who may have information about her whereabouts to come forward. Anyone with information is urged to contact the family on 071 462 1016 or 081 785 5379, or report to the nearest police station immediately. The family has also called on community members and social media users to help spread awareness in the hope of bringing Lesedi home safely.

Family members and neighbors conducted an immediate search of the area but could not locate the child. The matter was reported to the local police who have since launched a massive search operation for the missing toddler and the unknown suspect. At the time of her disappearance, Omphile Sethole was wearing a pink jersey and black tights.
