@rushtropicalwx I guess right now about 70% of storm pundits think a hard landing is possible/probable whereas 2% of economic pundits think so .... that's a helluva discrepancy ;-)

@Michael22568778 Yes. 4 nil up then I think he took Rashford off and went to 4-3. With hindsight should have played Saka against Argentina. Certainly shouldn’t have taken Gordon off.

@rushtropicalwx Good morning, the usual suspects pushing hard - don't they realise everytime they do this they shred their credibility a little more? BTW wouldn't have admitted the typo, sounded good 👍

One of the things I look for is lightning strikes. If they move towards the MLC then this system has a shot. The mid level spin is being enhanced by upper level winds but it has a small window to really take advantage. We will see a healthy looking system later today but......

@RyanWeather No - the obvious answer is humans need to up their a and look after their environment a lot better. The climate has changed constantly since Earth came into being.

The obvious answer is climate change. Unless humanity stops using burning fossil fuels, there will be more fires and smoke.

I'd assume all forest fires 🔥in Canada 🇨🇦 are caused by lightning. But what about when there's no thunderstorms? ⚡️ Space lasers? Arson? Spontaneous combustion? Many people are asking these questions.

@rushtropicalwx Do you know they've just discovered a new breed of monkey in DR Congo. DR Congo used to be known as Zaire many years ago I think .... and will probably be known as something else before long.

Research shows a negative PDO can disrupt the effect of El Nino on the Atlantic Hurricane Seasonbto some degree. Im still digesting this. What do you think? Source: Mizzou share.google/agbSgf2VwGjbRU…

@rushtropicalwx Our friend Dr Maue talks it all up and up in hope, must be over-excited at his hugely improved workload. NOAA are just desperate to prove their models and labeling anything and everything as a result.

I understand why the Atlantic is struggling. However, this is not the EPAC we were promised. Models are hinting at back to back hurricanes over the next two weeks. Rebound??

Love when a “founders first” VC GP repeatedly last minute cancels in person meetings that happen to coincide with big WC games. How should I respond to the next ask for a meeting? I’m told a simple “fuck off” is unprofessional…

Anyone else get this Schwab "offer" following Fidelity's lead demanding issuers pay 15% of fees in exchange for no ticket charge & data? Has to be paid either by the investor or squeeze (already tight) issuer margins. Either way such onerous fees are a bad outcome for investors.

The PDO is inversely correlated with Atlantic Hurricane seasonal ACE. This is one reason I suspect the PDO will flip to positive at some point. If not Hurricane season MAY not be as muted. But both Something has to give. Both of these things can't be true. Which one will it be?

This is the first time in recorded history that we have a super El Niño correlating with a -PDO. Theory here is the -PDO is helping to encourage troughing out west, flexing the SE ridge more often; strong +AAM is preventing heat domes from gaining a foothold.

@RyanWeather "the quality control of many locations is highly suspect" - given the problem of climate alarmism/extremism should these locations not be automatically excluded then? Strikes me you are knowingly advancing false science.

Added Yearbooks going back to 1869 for the Threaded Extreme stations. e.g. 1977 Hottest Since: hottestsince.com/1977 So far this is USA, but will extend globally but the quality control of many locations is highly suspect!
