That’s the Chelsea model doing what it’s meant to do — hoarding as many elite young talents as possible, keeping a few of them for competitive purposes, and selling the others like shares on the stock market. Smart model if you have an extra £2 billion on hand for start-up costs.

Nicolas Jackson - Estimated Transfer Value: €55.6m (€49.2m-€62.0m) It would be weird if Chelsea sell their number 1 and number 3 players in xG+xA in the same summer when they are pushing to go up a level but that is looking like what they are going to do.

But I would be curious to know how he thinks he can balance that with developing consistency and partnerships in a hectic season with very little time to train between games. The limited training time between games is a less talked about issue than minute load on players.

IMO there aren’t enough matches for Michelle to really benefit staying this season. Also Stina and Russo are just better than her right now and it’s ok to say that… she’s literally 19 lol

I think there’s a good argument that if a player of Lauren James’ calibre is available you just play her, but equally I don’t think you can carry a player who isn’t 100% against this Spain team.
