The man who was caught paying the homeless for signatures in Los Angeles and then swung at reporters when questioned about it has been identified
His name is Philip Deshaun Brunson, a 50 year old man from Detroit, Michigan with a prior criminal history
He was in California working as a paid signature gatherer. He travels from state to state and does this
American taxpayers can’t even fathom the organized fraud taking place
Imagine how many other people are getting paid to do this too

This sounds cool. But wait.
400 diapers will last a family with a newborn approximately five weeks.
The program will cost the state approx. $12.4 million this year alone.
That money will be funneled through a company called Baby2Baby, which will then provide their branded diapers to 400 participating in hospitals (California has over 500 hospitals in total.)
Meaning that instead of lowering taxes and letting families keep their own money to buy essentials like diapers, California takes their money, pumps it through a “nonprofit” that has overhead and whose CEO made $240,000 in 2024, to provide a “free” service available only in certain locations, and that you could have bought yourself for much cheaper.

Gov. Gavin Newsom has announced California will be the first state in the nation to provide free diapers to newborns. Families will receive 400 diapers when discharged from the hospital.

@angiewong Hopefully they don’t vote for policies that made them leave New York in Miami.

I just want to personally thank Mayor Zohran Mamdani for scaring away the billionaire class from NYC and helping bring billions in tax revenue to my district of Brickell Miami, where Ken Griffin’s Citadel is building its massive Class A office tower next to my office and bringing thousands of high earning professionals to the area.
The economic shift into Downtown Miami is truly transformative. Billions in new investments, new jobs, new infrastructure, and a growing tax base can help fund schools, transportation, and the modernization of Miami as it evolves into the new Wall Street of America. Keep the expats coming! @ZohranKMamdani #kengriffen #citadel #miami

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt kicked off the city's mayoral debate in a heated exchange on Wednesday after Pratt called Bass "an incredible liar," and claimed she misguided Angelenos about the facts of the Palisades Fire when it broke out last year.
CBS News' @JonVigliotti, who has been closely reporting on and investigating the blaze for over a year, fact checked two key moments from the debate.

@CollinRugg Why did the jurors deliberate for so long? Should have been 5 minutes max

BREAKING: FedEx driver who pleaded guilty to kidnapping and murdering 7-year-old Athena Strand, has been sentenced to death.
Tanner Horner snatched Athena while he was delivering a Barbie doll to her home in Paradise, Texas.
At one point during the trial, jurors broke down in tears while hearing audio of Horner killing Athena after he told her to take off her shirt and said she was "really pretty."
Athena repeatedly asked for her mother before she was killed.
"Horner is then heard asking Athena to remove her shirt, and there are several moments when she says "no" and asks for her mom. That was followed by repeated sounds of crying, screaming and banging," NBC reported last month.
Following three hours of deliberation today, Horner was sentenced to death by lethal injection.

@FreeFannie @grok Yeah $431 and $769 per share isn’t happening.
English

Trump says Fannie & Freddie could be worth $1 TRILLION combined. @grok says @ $500B each:
$FNMA ~$431/share
$FMCC ~$769/share
Now trading near $8. Massive upside if privatized? $FNMA $FMCC

@Elex_Michaelson @CNN @kaitlancollins Fire insurance costs are insanely high. Many HOA’s don’t have full coverage. Also selling single family properties near fire zones are insanely expensive. Making it tougher for people to buy and sell homes. How would they fix this issue.

.@CNN is hosting a debate with the California Governor candidates on May 5th.
@kaitlancollins and I will be moderating.
What’s your question for the candidates?
