I have learned so much about temperate reefs over the past year with @pessa_3! Cystophora forests are not only beautiful but highly diverse, endemic to Australasia and have similar biomass and productivity than kelp forests in SW Australia!! 🙌

@DocHarleyMD It's been good timing doing our annual review of the CoastSnapWA imagery --- here's Shoalwater since mid-April. Interesting looking at the May/June storm impacts versus the last few days

Huge waves have been hitting the Perth coastline these past few days. However look closely at this before/after #CoastSnap from the #CoastSnapRockingham station and you can see that the beach has actually grown vertically! Thanks Sean Sinclair for the snaps
