@BarryDunne6505 @DLynchSport Great point. Very easy and lazy to just to pick an easy victim on this. The original post implied he was on a mobile phone when he clearly wasnt. The ref shouldn't have blown for the penalty to be taken also until all were ready but imagine it was just a genuine mistake.

@DLynchSport Penalty was taken way faster than usual, if you watch the full coverage you'd see that, it even caught the commentators on the hop. Guarantee the same umpire and the ref will be sick seeing this getting picked up and criticised, usually a very good team. The man is a volunteer.

Anyone with a brain will know an umpire would not have a phone out. He was clearly noting in a notepad the number of the player that got booked, good practice. The TV coverage nearly missed the penalty also, it was taken so quick after the booking. Cut him some slack.
Derrick Lynch@DLynchSport

Lads, it doesn't matter whether he was on the phone, writing something down or just opening a sucky sweet!!! His literal job is to pay attention to what is going on!!!

Why have a Tipperary referee in charge of a Munster semi final where the winners play Tipperary in the final?? Surely to Jesus that was avoidable??

@CorkHurlingPod Coleman's strong points outshine all his negatives. He is extremely tidy mopping up off the floor and rarely gets turned over. Down in Limerick last year Cork were getting hammered he kept plugging away to the very end. An outstanding hurler.

More evidence of the mixed mark Coleman performance, was probably tough on his defending on the pod yesterday but this is definitely more of what we want from him
Ray Boyne@AnalysisGaa

watch this back and it’s easy to miss it first time. Ball breaks, Cork lose it… and straight away you’re thinking Limerick are gone here. Then you see Mark Coleman, out on the edge of it, not even central to the play. Next thing, his hurley is gone.
Most lads are out at that point. Hand goes up, look for the free… play moves on. Not him. He stays in it. Hayes comes through with the ball, proper momentum, Limerick building and Coleman, with no hurley, just commits. Full shoulder. Stops him dead or near enough that the ball has to go. That’s the first bit. Ball moves again Lynch into Nash and again, most players are gone. Phase has moved, you’ve done your bit. Not him. Back in. No panic. No diving in. Just gets goal side, stands Nash up and holds him there… and suddenly what looked like a Limerick attack turns into three Cork jerseys around him. It’s not about winning the ball.
It’s not even about the big moment. It’s the will to stay in the play when you’ve every reason to be out of it. Lost possession.
No hurley.
Ball gone past you. Doesn’t matter. He goes again… and again… and again until the game bends back his way. That’s the standard. Not the highlight.
Not the score. That. Staying in it when you’ve no right

@DarrenBren31608 @DLynchSport If Tipp were to lose their last 2 games (very unlikely) and Limerick beat Waterford at home Tipp would be gone. Cork and Clare already through now.

@newryhurler1 Great win for Cork. Serious effort put into the last 12 mins. Great to win the battles. Ref won't be popular in Waterford

The continuing attacks on Lebanon should leave no one in any doubt that the biggest obstacle to true peace and reconciliation in the Middle East is the current Israeli government....they don't want peace and will do everything in their power to actively undermine it ..

Great result for Clare; but worrying aspects of the performance once more all the same. Guaranteed at least third spot now in the standings, with the head to head record over Waterford & Limerick. Two massive games to come now v Tipp & Cork
