@RoryHearneGaffs Family homes should never be viewed as assets & they weren’t until the about the last 25 to 40 years. I’m not bothered about negative equity when my home is my home & not an asset to be traded.

The real issue is we need to change is the idea that constantly rising house prices is a good thing.
It actually makes housing unaffordable for everyone, for our children, for guards, teachers, nurses - who cant afford to buy a home.

Affordable housing should be that affordable. Mary Lou McDonald says 300,000 in Dublin The banks & property investors react saying oh you can't do that. Well using Central Bank lending rules, an average earner can only get a mortgage to buy a house for 220,000. That's affordable

@TMFScottP There is a reason it is a 4 year degree, Doctors know very little about drug interactions and hence why across the world approx 2-5 % , some countries higher, of patients in hospital are there because of drug interactions

Chemist Warehouse is a very good business, which has done a terrific job of disrupting its industry.
But the bigger disruption is coming.
Online ordering and delivery of prescriptions should gobble up the vast bulk of current pharmacy business.

My mam is in Tallaght hospital in a "short term" ward filled with convicts,mental patients,showers that don't work,staff that dish out tablets like confetti,doctors that don't know what they are doingshe's there 3 weeks now and has private insurance!

@caulmick @irishdailymail I am in hospital atm, three nurses last night had to leave because of Covid on the ward. There are 5 men who should be exited as they are fit to go but there families want to wait till Monday. That’s is one ward. Push them out to nursing home if family don’t want any them

@CWeston_Indo Actually if you speak with any insurer , premiums are driven by claims costs(physical damage going up/ liability), expenses up, commissions, cost of capital( highest in EU ) and possibly the most important tail book driven by interest rates which would reprice any book
