If you have the misfortune to end up with a Green councillor on Friday don’t despair! Make them work! Report every pothole, every cracked paving stone, every piece of dog shit, every late bin collection. And get your fellow residents to do the same. Attend council meetings. Go to surgeries. Complain about your council tax bill. Keep them on their feet. Remind them local politics isn’t about palestine - it’s about pavements and potholes.

@ConorOS56662557 I wouldnt vote Green. They are too far left for me. But i want a party in power that respects its political opponents and those that voted differently. Making obvious dog whistle threats against ordinary ppl who voted differently is sinister and we'll end up as divided as the US.

This stunt has backfired and unfortunately, that is all Reform UK are - a PR company hoping to be elected. I despise the Greens, but a serious democracy does not punish voters for voting a certain way. That is called tyranny.

@Lewis_Brackpool @lukerobertblack So presumably, if putting deportation centres near people puts them in danger, then putting them anywhere puts someone, somewhere in danger, if you’re right. However, if you’ve actually voted for those “dangerous” people to come here, why not be the one to take that “risk”?

I may not agree with Green voters, but deliberately placing deportation centres in areas that vote against you as political punishment is vindictive and counterproductive. You don’t win people over by threatening them. It’ll also put people in serious danger.

@Bbmorg I have to be honest, you’re not articulating why an electorate living cheek by jowl with the results of a policy they’d have just voted for is regarded as a threat? It’s like voting Labour and being threatened by lifting the two child cap?

If you don’t vote Reform the unelected Zia Yusuf will make sure your local community pays for it. I’ve never heard of any UK politician making threats like he has.
