Lots of talk about the CFP format the past few days. The biggest gripe is the top four conference champs getting the top four seeds. No. 1 Oregon certainly deserves one - but shouldn't have what's perceived to be a tougher path than No. 6 Penn State might have. Here's my suggestion: Instead of giving the top four conference champs the top four spots, they should be guaranteed one of the top *eight* spots. It's still a win for those teams; if not a bye, they get a home game. Using the final CFP rankings, here's how this year's bracket would look if Boise State and ASU were the seventh and eighth seeds instead of third and fourth: 8 ASU vs. 9 Tennessee (winner faces No. 1 Oregon) 5 Notre Dame vs. 12 Clemson (winner faces No. 4 Penn State) 7 Boise State vs. 10 Indiana (winner faces No. 2 Georgia) 6 Ohio State vs. 11 SMU (winner faces No. 3 Texas)

Game time update for Arizona vs. ASU 🚨 Arizona's game against ASU on Saturday, March 21 at Hillenbrand Stadium has been pushed back and will now begin at 6 p.m. MST due to expected high temperatures.

Now official: A player disqualified for targeting for the first time during the season, regardless of which half it occurs, may participate in the next game. If disqualified for targeting a second time in-season, will be required to miss the first half of the next game.

Couple notes from Chip Hale: 1. RHP JT Drake is out for the season. Arizona had hoped he'd be able to come back from an arm issue, but it's not happening. That makes four season-ending or possibly season-ending injuries for the Wildcats' bullpen.

Should have mentioned this last night: Arizona freshman SS Cash Brennan has a high ankle sprain suffered at Utah. One of those years for the Wildcats.

@Dukerant3453678 @azcatjohn @weslo1875 I haven't had a chance to look into it. He did mention to me that among their weekend starters last year, they missed one total start. Also keep in mind any injuries likely were brewing before he got here. It's almost always a wear-and-tear situation that happens over time.

@julienbel8 They supposedly all stayed on the same pitching plans they had before. But you’re right about the second part - they had no season-ending arm injuries that I can recall in two seasons under Vance.

@MichaelJLev Is there anything underlying about all these arm injuries and the new pitching department staff ? It feels like they didn't have as many under Vance. Maybe it's just me.
