@CoachLouHoltz88 Interest rates aren’t the problem. Too many people living beyond their means. We had a 6% interest rate when we bought our house, which was historically low before the “free money” era.

This isn’t political. It’s right vs. wrong. People can’t buy homes, small businesses are drowning in interest—and the federal reserve is asleep at the wheel. President Trump is calling for lower interest rates—and he’s right. Enough is enough.

@pulte The reason that most people can’t afford a house has little to do with the Federal Reserve or their FICO score. It has more to do with the choices they have made previously. Too many people trying to keep up with the Jones family.

@MmisterNobody Think of it as paying for services to/for your house. Maintaining water and sewer lines, paying for fire and police departments. If you got rid of property taxes, local governments would bill you and call it something else. You are in more control of your housing costs over time.

Can someone explain to me like I’m 5 years old what the point of buying a house is if, even after you pay off the mortgage, you still have to pay property taxes?
