Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi is in critical condition after suffering a heart attack in Zanjan prison and has been denied access to specialized medical care, the Narges Foundation said. In a statement on Tuesday, the foundation said Iranian authorities have refused to transfer Mohammadi to a hospital or allow her to be examined by a specialist, despite reports of her losing consciousness, experiencing severe chest pain and medical recommendations for an urgent angiography. The group warned that her life is at risk in prison and criticized what it described as continued restrictions on her basic rights, including limited phone contact, a ban on communication with lawyers and the requirement that visits take place in the presence of security officials. The foundation called for the immediate and unconditional release of Mohammadi and other political inmates and prisoners of conscience.

Iran executed political prisoners Babak Alipour and Pouya Ghobadi on Tuesday, a day after two other prisoners in the same case were hanged. Alipour and Ghobadi had been sentenced to death in 2024 by Tehran’s Revolutionary Court. On Monday, Akbar Daneshvarkar and Mohammad Taghavi Sangdehi, who had also been convicted in the same case, were executed. iranintl.com/en/202603310250

Iranian civil activist Navid Soltanpour was reportedly abducted and executed by the Islamic regime mid-March 2026, according to the Abdorrahman Boroumand Center. Soltanpour, a long-time activist who survived severe injuries and torture following the 2009 protests, was allegedly taken by Islamic regime agents on March 15 after leaving his home for a routine workout. Hours later, his family was summoned to a police station where they were shown a photograph of his lifeless body. His burial on March 16 took place under heavy security surveillance, amidst reports that he had recently participated in the January 2026 protests in Iran and witnessed the demise of his own friend during those demonstrations. They buried a 19-year-old wrestler here, an athlete hanged by Iran's regime for protesting. Saleh Mohammadi was one of Iran's valuable assets, part of the human infrastructure of its future but Islamic Republic destroyed that future. It is painful and powerful to see people gathering to stand with his family, clapping for their hero.
