@preta_6 It's not possible to only use TFW's and I guess unlikely they don't use *any* canadians, but I support this and agree. In addition, I wish somebody would make a website to list businesses who use TFW's and list how many so that people can focus the worst offenders and avoid them.
The Justice Centre announces that lawyers have sent a legal letter to the South East Cornerstone Public School Division (Board) on behalf of Lampman mother Tawney Johnson, who is calling on the Board to implement policies that protect the privacy, dignity, and safety of female students in school washrooms. The legal letter concerns allegations that a 17-year old biological male transgender student has been permitted to use the girls’ multi-stall washroom at Lampman School, despite numerous female students expressing concerns that the current arrangement has left girls feeling unsafe, uncomfortable, and reluctant to use school washroom facilities. Constitutional lawyer Allison Pejovic said, “Schools are expected to provide safe environments for their students. Girls should not have to endure a full school day fearful that a biological male student will be in the washroom with them. Hi Scott, we think one of the biggest misperceptions about Tim Hortons is how the TFW program has been used. About 3.6% of team members were hired through the TFW program. These are positions in communities where restaurant owners faced documented labour shortages and went through the full government approval process before hiring. This new campaign will help Canadian restaurant owners hire 10,000 new local team members, supporting natural turnover and growth of Tim Hortons restaurants – including 80 new restaurants opening this year across Canada.
