Every year the #moleg says they want to curb crime in our cities, but they don't listen to the folks who live there, they don't do what law enforcement literally says will help them. They won't invest in fixing crime before it happens. And of course the debate ended with a PQ.

The "public safety" bill that just was perfected out of the House does nothing to protect Missourians BEFORE crimes occur. Dems had amendments to allow law enforcement to do their jobs, while Republicans pass laws punishing officers and rewarding criminals.

And now, they’re arguing that children SHOULD have access to firearms. Absolutely ludacris. Missouri is in a race to the bottom and the @MissouriGOP is at the helm.

The fact is our children, family, friends and neighbors are DYING from gun violence in this state every day. Our kids live with the threat in their classrooms. WHEN WILL ENOUGH BE ENOUGH? When will we commit to protecting PEOPLE above all else?

@BigElad Our state government should NEVER be subject to LESS scrutiny or transparency, than our local public school districts. Yet this is the line our state government officials have crossed. All those legislators who complain "rules for thee but not for me" need to fix this!
