Ballinrobe has fallen.
I stopped my car to allow a funeral to pass. These men recognised me from the TikTok I did about thier shop opening that went viral on here and X.
They were saying stuff so I took the picture, I could not take a video out of respect to the on coming funeral passing. But this did not phase these muslim men who had British Pakistani accents.
They arroached my car threating me right in the path of the funeral. They dont respect us and they dont respect our dead. I had to tell them repeatedly to step back and have respect to the funeral. When the funral passed, they went on shouting at me again, right so the mourners could hear.
The middle one who is the shop owner was the aggressor as you can see by his hand gestures. They think this is England. He thinks we're weak and intimidated by him. This is Ireland buddy. This won't be forgotten. 🇮🇪

What a beautiful day in Galway. Tried to sit in Eyre Square and had to leave because of the most overpowering stomach churning smell of weed. Walked into Supermac’s on Eyre Square the city of students and not one single Irish person working there. All foreign nationals. I don’t recognise my own country anymore. I feel like a stranger in my own land.

They are asking for that warm blanket and a bit of love. A little time. A little care.
Do that, take it easy, eat well, ease off on bad stuff. Recovery will come.

I've been there Mick you aren't wrong. But it takes a stubborn fuck you all personality. But most lads don't have that grit overtime. My theory is that when lads are weak in the moment for a few days or weeks. Their internal monologue is telling them they are losers nobody cares you'd be better off gone. And that internal voice wins

‼️From personal experience.. In Ireland, a working man can earn over a grand every two weeks and still be financially ruined by two nights out once a month.
Rent, car, insurance, child maintenance, bills everything's expensive.
Throw cocaine into the mix and one or two weekends can easily cost over a thousand euro and untold pain stress and misery.
Suddenly you're broke for weeks, stressed, no money for yourself, just surviving.
You're not a junkie you don't use every day.
There's nothing more soul-destroying for a man than working 40-plus hours a week and never having a cent left for a pint, a cigarette, or anything for himself.
It can definitely lead to suicide.
What's the fix? 🇮🇪
