@AngePattison Hey Ange looks very interesting. What were your earliest sowing dates?

Autumn sown chickpea trial yesterday at Narrabri. These are 2 genotypes growing one plot away from each other. I’m told the Emerald and Gunnedah sites performed very differently - I’m so excited to see some yield numbers! GRDC video on this trial due to come out very soon

TERN provides an Australia-wide, consistent and accurate map of soil types at a 90m resolution, with estimates of reliability. It offers industry and land-managers the information they need for informed, cost-saving decision-making. tern.org.au/news-australia…

@agrobaz Might be a bit late to the party Baz, but did you get any herbicide residue measures at sowing? Would be nice to relate total/available residue levels to crop effects to help assess potential effects on other soil types

Interesting looking at impact of various residual herbicides applied last yr on rhizobium health in peas, lentils and vetch. Big part of the picture! Acid tolerant spp performing well at this site too 👍

Anyone else finding rexade a bit tough on crops this yr? Really only had 3 frosts followed by ideal growing conditions. Weeds dying nicely. @DanDixon_Ag @jochim_jager Not every farm affected 🤷‍♂️

Hard to find a better way to display the ‘impact’ of an academic paper than in situ on the Coffs Harbour jetty breakwall. Great poster board!

@dyerjonathan According to abstract, mice were fed 0.5 mg/kg body per day in water. For 70 kg adult drinking 2L per day, concentration of atz in water would be ~20 mg/L, i.e. 1000X the Aus guideline (0.02 mg/L). Aus guidelines assume 10% daily intake from water, plus 100X safety factor.

A question for the soil scientists. If you could lift soil carbon in the top 20cm by 0.1% what is the increase in PAWC? #soils
