On May 14 and 15, the United States hosted two days of highly-productive talks between Israel and Lebanon. The April 16 cessation of hostilities will be extended by 45 days to enable further progress. The State Department will reconvene the political track of negotiations on June 2 and June 3. In addition, a security track will be launched at the Pentagon on May 29 with military delegations from both countries. We hope these discussions will advance lasting peace between the two countries, full recognition of each other’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and establishing genuine security along their shared border.

To the media asking about DOJ investigating the leaking of classified information: Prosecuting leakers who share our nation’s secrets with reporters, in turn risking our national security and the lives of our soldiers, is a priority for this administration. Twice in the past two weeks, the honor-system sourdough farmstand Gone Astray Goods in Loveland, Colorado, has been targeted by the same woman. She was caught on surveillance video stealing fresh breads, jams, and oatmeal crème pies.
Stephanie Courville—a hardworking pregnant mother who bakes artisan sourdough loaves, cinnamon rolls, and homemade treats from scratch each week to support her family—is heartbroken.
This theft strikes directly at a small family business trying to earn an honest living. Stephanie already has identifying information on the woman and is actively pursuing leads, but she needs community help. I handled Top Secret information only a handful of times in my military career.
Every time I did, I remember thinking to myself "Why is this classified? Everybody suspects this is true, it's just common sense..."
But then I remembered that the reason the data was classified was so that no one in the know would or could ever confirm or deny whether "common sense" suspicions were actually true.
THAT is the power of security classifications.
My point is this: it does not matter whether or not anyone has a common sense suspicion that stores of precision munitions might be depleted. When Kelly officially verified that suspicion at the individual munition level, he created a grave breach of national security.
Prosecute this traitor. Remember when some submariner went to the brig because he posted a picture from the inside of a sub? This is far worse.

We had this conversation in a public hearing a week ago and you said it would take “years” to replenish some of these stockpiles. That’s not classified, it’s a quote from you. This war is coming at a serious cost and you and the president still haven’t explained to the American people what the goal is.

After hearing the Pentagon classified brief on Iran war impact on US weapons stockpiles, Senator Mark Kelly says it is "shocking how deep we have gone into these magazines." He said the Tomahawks, ATACMS, SM-3, THAAD rounds, Patriot rounds, so those interceptor rounds to defend ourselves have been hit hard.
