Make no mistake Starmer has done incalculable harm to our relations with the US. He has endangered the British people to shore up his own failing premiership. If Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands tomorrow our country would be Billy No Mates. @Keir_Starmer

Susanna Reid: "Brits have moved to places like Dubai, potentially.. to avoid paying tax.. if they need rescuing.. should they pay for their own evacuation, because if they're avoiding paying tax then they're avoiding paying into public services, like the govt coming to get you"

Devastated by our great friend Paul Conroy’s untimely death yesterday. Not only an outstanding and courageous photojournalist in war zones, but an even more remarkable human being who as the tributes about him show he touched so many of us very deeply thru his compassion, empathy and refusal to look away when confronted by injustice and horror, most notably in Syria. Anne Daly and I will also never forget his enthusiasm and support in making our doc Bringing Assad To Justice in which he was a very important contributor. The word legendary is bandied about a lot, but in Paul’s case it is an understatement not least in the way in which he survived the attempt to murder him by Assad and his regime in 2012 when they killed his very close friend and professional partner Marie Colvin. Indeed, his recent excellent work in Ukraine is a reminder how consistent he has alway been. Paul’s legacy will endure, but we should start thinking about a suitable tribute to him to inspire others to follow his lead as people like him make an extraordinary difference. @reflextv @johnsweeneyroar @lindseyhilsum @Syria_Irl @PeterTatchell @Charles_Lister @Marcnelsonart @im_PULSE @AlecuRussell @Vallmeister @Jac_Hayden @RevolutionSyria @TheSyriaCmpgn @FrontLineHRD @frontlineclub @OzKaterji
