@HuntersofPutney @SophRiver @RachelB76293670 @HallisseyC It is competitive. If pr want to make it not so, they could, you know, stop assigning everyone a finishing place in their category, and publicly listing the top finishers in M/W categories.
pr have been simply unable to explain why they are doing that.They are lying to everyone.
English

@SophRiver @RachelB76293670 @HallisseyC So you can see that, under the current Parkrun rules, GC women are desperately trying to prove that Parkrun is “of a competitive nature”. This has two effects: morally, they argue it makes it unfair to have biological males in their “race”. But, if Parkrun changes its rules as…

@mara_yamauchi I’m disgusted at the misogynistic abuse Claire has received. These idiots have no clue about parkrun, and just saw an opportunity to attack a woman. There’s an epidemic of misogyny on X, and you’re right to call it out Mara.
Stay strong Claire, you will always have my support 💪

@itsafrogslife @Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC My question was rhetorical.

English

@MicroGiddy @Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC You'll have to ask Run Britain. parkrun results are in no way certified. How can they be when some courses are too long while others are too short? And it can take 30 seconds to cross the start line and minutes to cross the finish line.
English
I'm not training to do well at parkrun, I simply finish high up at parkrun because I still train. I have fun pushing myself, but it doesn't bother me if I'm beaten by another woman. It has bothered me when I've been beaten by a man in the female category.

@itsafrogslife @Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC Is that why they contribute to calculation of your RunBritain handicap, as with other certified roadrunning events (races), which determines your RunBritain ranking for age/sex category?
Whereas some (uncertified) races don't.
Irrespective, they are listed,ranked, on Brit Ath DB
English

@MicroGiddy @Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC parkrun results aren't 'certified performances' in any way, shape or form.
English

@itsafrogslife @Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC Not going through this again.parkrun times are recognised by UKA thus they record them as certified performances on the national db. Contrast with some races which are not certified and do not appear.
If you're saying, should be 'British Athletics' you're right,'UK' is shorter.
English

@MicroGiddy @Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC parkrun isn't a UKA licenced event.
English

@Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife Jimmi, when you grow up, you'll get a job (I sincerely hope 🙂) and then you'll be required to take courses in GDPR laws, and learn why your theory about how the parkrun data gets displayed on the British Athletics database, is wrong.
English

@Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife Which, believe me, is all the same question as: 📢 why is parkrun data on the actual UK national athletics database?
English

@Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife But 'yoUR sILlY'

English

@Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife parkrun are not 'in control of P10'. You said that,no-one else. parkrun are 100% in control of where their data goes and what it's used for.
You don't have the first clue about GDPR laws if you really think Po10 are listing,without permission,runners names+where+when they ran.
English

@Jimmigrant1 @NoodleLover2 @thefempire50 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife The penny has dropped 👏
Yes,THAT's why parkrun are being put on notice that this will be decided in a court of Law.Unless they change something first. Which,as was my original point,what has triggered this toys-out-of-pram from the 'it's a fun run' bros. So why are they scared
English

@MicroGiddy @NoodleLover2 @thefempire50 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife Unless you can establish that parkrun is in violation of the law, it operates legally.
English

@Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife Just keep ignoring the points.👍
Not even all road races count towards those rankings. It's because they aren't licensed.
parkrun makes the *choice* to become UKA-accredited.They don't have to.
You start a national fun run event.Let's see if the results end up on Powerof10😆
English

@Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife 'yOuR siLLy'
Who controls parkrun's applications to UKA to enable their results to be legitimate data for performance records and ranking purposes?
(yeah you completely ignored that,didn't you jimmi)
Please do enlighten us on what the benefits and purposes of a UKA licence are.
English

@MicroGiddy @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife parkrun does not control P10. Your argument to the contrary is silly.

These men. They write it for us 😂😂😂😂
Salty Rower 💚🤍💜@rowingdonna
@tomjc09 So men's results and finishing positions matter, just not women's!🤔😂
English

@Jimmigrant1 @NoodleLover2 @thefempire50 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife A little reminder of the point made to you earlier, which you keep ignoring.
In some situations it's ILLEGAL to NOT treat sex and gender as the same. As we all learned about a year ago. So for the purpose of the parkrun discussion, it's appropriate to raise it. Stop deflecting.
English

@NoodleLover2 @MicroGiddy @thefempire50 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife You’re making the common (and I suspect intentional in your case) error of confusing sex and gender. It’s an inexcusable error in these discussions.
English

@itsafrogslife @Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC Erm. Yes, and??
Neither are the results of all those road races. 'qualification for races' isn't what this is about.

English

@MicroGiddy @Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC parkrun results on Po10 aren't used for qualification for races.
English

@MicroGiddy @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife That’s very poor logic. Your argument that parkrun controls P10 because P10 uses parkrun data is laughably silly.
English

@Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife They certainly do. parkrun can choose to withhold data from them. It's within parkrun's gift to do that and declare it inegible as ACTUAL NATIONAL ATHLETE RANKING DATA.
And yet, parkrun hand over their data to actual national athletics bodies for this very purpose.
English

@MicroGiddy @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife parkrun doesn’t control P10.
English

@Jimmigrant1 @thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife parkrun results listings on Powerof10/RunBritain rankings also 'confuse' the two.
Because in some contexts they list M/W and in others it's M/F.
The fact that in some situations it's UNLAWFUL TO TREAT THEM AS DIFFERENT is what this whole thing is about!

@NostrilsHairy @JerryManderkx @sharrond62 Not categorised, you say.
English

@thefempire50 @NoodleLover2 @LoreleiPoo86822 @HallisseyC @itsafrogslife You are confusing gender and sex. It is an unfortunately common error, but not an excusable error when people make it intentionally.
