One of the craziest arguments I've seen in the parkrun debate is that women shouldn't care about fairness because there are no prizes. Winning and prizes aren't the point. A non-race with no prizes should still be fair to women when publishing results in a female category.

How can they be when some courses are too long while others are too short? And it can take 30 seconds to cross the start line and minutes to cross the finish line.

I'm not training to do well at parkrun, I simply finish high up at parkrun because I still train. I have fun pushing myself, but it doesn't bother me if I'm beaten by another woman. It has bothered me when I've been beaten by a man in the female category. #makeparkrunfairforall

Contrast with some races which are not certified and do not appear. If you're saying, should be 'British Athletics' you're right,'UK' is shorter.

It's within parkrun's gift to do that and declare it inegible as ACTUAL NATIONAL ATHLETE RANKING DATA. And yet, parkrun hand over their data to actual national athletics bodies for this very purpose.
