@jessethanley I wonder: is this doable with a simple stripe export or do I need an analytics tool first?
English

Something every SaaS founder should do today:
Read this article: longform.asmartbear.com/max-mrr/
Go to Profitwell/Baremetrics/whatever and export the last 6 months of data (ex. this month). The more data in that spreadsheet the merrier. Profitwell's free "MRR Overview" dashboard export works well for this.
Open @cursor_ai /Codex/Claude and ask "based on the metrics attached and this article what is my max MRR? if I was having tea with @asmartbear what would he tell me to focus on?"
It'll give you some clarity for what to work on right now.
Bonus: run this weekly on a Monday with @cursor_ai new automation product.

@adamcollins Sure, very true. But what can we actually do to lower failed payments?
English

@Ysqander This is awesome! How does it crawl Reddit? Is there a specific skill for that or do you just use the browser?
English

@ikoichi @blacktwistapp This is cool, do you self-host posthog or use the cloud?

@MicroSaasGuy I put my theme files in my CC folder and connected via Shopify CLI (they have an MCP server too).
CC then has context via the theme files to propose edits. I use a local instance to preview changes before pushing to Shopify edit mode.

@escartin Sounds awesome, whats your video editing tool of choice?
English

Outsourcing video editing never solved the actual bottleneck for me.
Any decent editor can cut and add b-roll, but finding one who also understands which parts of the content matter to the business was basically impossible. So I still had to send timestamps / mini-scripts like "keep this, cut that, this is the point", which means you're not really "just record and forget".
Now AI is good enough that I don't use freelancers for that anymore.
Editing from a transcript (which is now surprisingly accurate, even with my Spanish accent) is the first time it feels like the workflow is actually compressed and very similar to what I had to do with freelancers.
Production quality might be a bit worse, but I don’t care much. Deciding what to keep is still where I add value. AI just saved me from paying someone to do the edits from there.

I recently spoke to a marketer who ran a $40M brand with just two designers and ONE AI process:
He gave me and my team a masterclass on using AI to scale marketing and creative.
Most brands use one tool with a bad prompt and hope it will solve all their problems.
He chains 7 different tools together for: ideation, image creation, video editing, and iterating based on performance.
ALL using AI and two offshore designers.
I paid him 6-figures to build these systems for my companies.
Now, I’m giving them away for free.

@Shpigford @openclaw Looks like a videogame from the early 2000s. Awesome!
Can you share how you got Hank to build it?

Slowly and then all at once, the indie SaaS world will never be the same

Here's the story of how I vibe coded a #judo #randori tracker before I even landed in Sapporo. I started this project on Claude Code Opus 4.5 when I was in San Francisco and committed my changes 24 hours later. I wanted a tracker to help me keep track of what thrills I was doing during randori. Nothing existed, so I vibe-coded something.

@adamcollins @sergeynazarovx Wave your freak flag with pride, no need to be scared of looking different 😘
English

@MicroSaasGuy @sergeynazarovx Haha fair. Maybe I’m not ready to be the guy whispering into my mic in the office like it’s a diary entry 😅
English

i think it’s one of those things you thought would be cool to use
but in reality, you’d never do that

This is absolutely insane and proof that voice is about to transform the workplace. At Wispr, employees use voice hundreds of times a day to multitask across their entire workflow. Here’s one dev using Cursor and Gmail simultaneously, all through WHISPERING, on a $10 mic.
English

@adamcollins @sergeynazarovx Wildly, I find myself using it all the time. Even this tweet was dictated and I work in an open coworking space.
You can just whisper in a good mic and it feels like it's reading your thoughts...
