The Catholic from New York. The quiet family man. The gold cross dangling over buttons that have never been touched. The MLB logo on the collar. The hat hair most men would chop a finger off for. The FJ Classics. Cameron Young is America. 🦅

Perfect example of the mini tour grind: I just finished 9th out of 168 players at the SoCal Open. Entry fee was $800. My pay check was $843 for a $43 profit… Take out expenses: -Airbnb: $500 -Food: $140 -Gas: $120 -Practice round: $150 -Yardage book: $35 Total: $945. Winnings ($43) - Expenses ($945)= -$902. Not the best week in the end 🤦🏼♂️ #Playbetter

New newsletter: MODERN FATHERHOOD WOULD BE UNRECOGNIZABLE TO A 1950'S DAD Compared to their Boomer parents, childcare time among Millennial dads has more than doubled. Compared to their Silent Generation grandparents, it’s nearly quadrupled. You will be hard-pressed to find any part of day-to-day modern life that has changed more in the last half-century than the way today’s parents—and fathers, in particular—spend their time. The new American dad is more present and more exhausted—but also, more satisfied with life. What's behind this half-century transformation? Today's piece combines history, economic analysis, and gorgeous charts galore from @AzizSunderji

A letter to fans on the progress of the Future Competition Committee.

The Washington Post isn't cutting the sports section today because Jeffrey Bezos is a ghoul or hates journalism. It's because journalism that doesn't meet the public where they are and where they want to be can't make money. My take on the reality of the future of journalism linkedin.com/posts/darrenro…

After striking out on stars, LIV pivoted to young players under the premise that the PGA Tour is too hard to crack. But Blades Brown (like Ludvig Aberg and Luke Clanton) is proving meritocracy still reins, making those LIV recruits look like they opted out of real competition

The worst program in the country became the best team in the country in less than two seasons. The most unreal CFB story of my lifetime.
