@MicrobioCarly Sort of. Possibly you can do that in academia, but in commercial software you have intellectual property agreements you sign -algorithms you define/invent at the company are theirs. Been there, done that, including patents.

I feel like there's wasps everywhere and no one is talking about it. These are just the ones I trapped in my French press.

Your teaching evals are excellent, but you can’t be a great teacher if you haven’t attended a Center for Teaching and Excellence workshop to inform your teaching with the latest research on pedagogy.

@Nicola_Askham Interesting how in your blog you reference "accessibility, understandability, discoverability, interoperability, and trustworthiness" for data which matches well with the academic concept that data should be FAIR (findable, accessible, interoperable and reusable).

@jhan2qt @AgBioWorld Australia in 2016, pesticides sold 63416.5 tonnes or 63416.5x10^6 g. Agland: 371078.3 kilohectares or 371078.3x10^3 hectares. That equals 171g/har of pesticides purchased. The kilohectares was probably missed to get 171kg instead of g. The relative rankings is the same.
