I’m a firm believer that senate & congress should make their states minimum wage and only be paid for time they’re actively working. Any PAID leave should follow their states policy (if there is any) as well. Travel should be done via vouchers without special exceptions.

after 3 years unemployed, my friend finally got a job offer today. all he did was politely ask if there was room for a slightly higher salary to match market pay. they RESCINDED the entire offer. job market is actually insane right now.

Besides the lobbying against passenger rail systems that happened with the invention of the Automobile you do know that about 28-40% of ALL long distance cargo transportation in the US happens by rail right? A high speed rail system is entirely feasible but it would crush the automobile and passenger airline industries by providing cheap transcontinental transportation.
