If we’re all being totally and completely honest with ourselves, the Republican Party could resurrect Abraham Lincoln and even he would have an incredibly hard time winning in 2028. The pendulum is getting ready to swing. We Republicans had our time in the sun, but we decided to waste it on a 79-year-old inept moron. Now we will all watch as the midterms become a disaster and the general election even worse. Due to Donald Trump, it will take the Republican Party a decade and a half to regain any kind of national footing, and an entire new generation of conservatives must replace the old furniture and cobwebs currently overtaking Congress. Trump failed, and with his failure he has doomed us all.

People don't seem to understand what is happening.
Iran has decided that it will control the straits of hormuz for the indefinite future. That means, we, global energy consumers, will be paying an additional energy tax, since it will take years if not decades for Iran to repair & reconstruct the civilian infrastructure being destroyed.
We are going to pay to rebuild Iran, not Iran. It's strange that people don't understand this.

No argument from me. I picked up my son, who lives in Australia, from LAX, and it took 2.5 hours to get to Redlands (even with the carpool lanes). He was shocked how dirty and crime-ridden LA is compared to AZ (and I had to leave my gun at home). Luckily, I took him back on a weekend (manageable traffic)—and was able to charge my Tesla, and grab a great (though overpriced) meal at the Tesla Diner. I hope @elonmusk considers opening more diners.

I love the US, and NYC, but coming back from five weeks in Japan/Korea can be so demoralizing. The E train from Jamaica to Port Authority was a mess. Filthy, depressing, and a minefield of possible problems. The car I was in had at least six guys in various states of distress. I sat next to one, a clearly mentally compromised man, muttering to himself, who made it clear he didn't like me being so close, but I bet he wasn't having a bad day. He wasn't because he was drugged into lethargy, but you never really can tell, and you always risk a miscalculation. I'm a pretty large guy and I've spent a lot of time around people like this, so I wasn't worried, but I felt bad for the women on there, some with kids, who have to play a far riskier game when riding the subway. Sure, the odds of something bad happening are small, but they should be zero, and they could be, if we only enforced the rules.

@QTarantino_ I lived in LA for 20 years and left during Covid. I never came back, I didn’t need to. My indie film productions are all out of CA. With today’s tech, you no longer need to be in LA to make it. Film productions are global. You ca be an actor, writer, director anywhere.
