Sad to hear that the @MiddxDisCricket have been held up on their trip to Dubai as a result of the current attacks in the Gulf. Thankfully they’re not airborne as their @emirates flight is later in the day. Dubai air space closed atm. Keep safe everyone 🙏🏼

It was a sad and undignified decision by @10DowningStreet not to fly the Middlesex flag as Westminster is in historic Middlesex where many men were recruited for the County’s regiment.

Does Patriotic Renewal mean the Middlesex flag (bought by local people) will fly over Downing St, May 16th, again, in honour of the glorious dead of the Middlesex Reg (13th Middx 👑 Westminster) who gave their lives in patriotic service to their country? This year it was refused.

Vexillology is the study of flags. Heraldic design has been an interest of mine from seeing the Middlesex crest on boundary signs and school exercise book since I was 7. My country and county flags are a part of my culture and upbringing. Fly them kindly; respect them always.
