.@TomDiNapoli calls AI a ‘wake-up call,’ warning New Yorkers about risks, job losses, and lack of oversight. But behind closed doors, he’s doing the exact opposite with their money. Under his watch, the pension fund has shoveled $15 billion into AI giants: $4.9 billion in NVIDIA, $4.3 billion in Microsoft, nearly $3 billion in Amazon, and billions more in Meta, with roughly 25% of its public equity portfolio riding on AI. Let’s not pretend this is nuance. You don’t concentrate that level of capital into something you believe is dangerous, you do it because it’s making you money. So which is it? Is AI an existential threat to society, or the backbone of New York’s pension returns? Because right now, it looks like fear for the public, profits in the portfolio. That’s not leadership, that’s saying one thing and investing another.

It’s time To pass the SAVE America Act

It has now been made public that the criminal who stabbed three innocent New Yorkers at Grand Central yesterday morning was a repeat offender who had 13 prior arrests, including one for menacing with a sharp object. People like this shouldn’t be allowed into the subway system in the first place. Under my plan for a Transit Crime Crackdown, which includes banning repeat and violent offenders from mass transit systems, they won’t be. sarithafornewyork.com/ag-candidate-s…

Thank you to our heroes. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims of today’s horrific attack. The NYPD once again stepped in and prevented even greater tragedy. We are grateful for the brave men and women who put their lives on the line to protect New Yorkers every single day. But this cannot continue. New York cannot be a revolving door of justice. We need real legal reforms, accountability, and leadership change at every level. God bless the NYPD and all officers who stand between chaos and order.
