Are pain scales helpful in chronic illness? Do you get asked to fill in pain scales at your appointments? Pain is such a complex, subjective thing that we all experience differently as individuals but also day to day symptom changes.

How do others handle the shaming for having to same day cancel appts due to migraine? My dentist has basically put me on a blacklist the past year so that I can’t schedule cleanings in advance. It’s only cancellations allowed for me. #migrainechat #NEISvoid

@beth_morton Watching a pet have health struggles is almost more painful than a migraine! If it was a choice between my dog’s wellness and my own….I’d choose him every time!

My cat is now on almost as many medications and supplements as me. Poor girl. 😿

@beth_morton @thismigrainelyf I hear ya. And everyone around me has no patience for it. I have learned a lot about dementia lately & how to support those with dementia. These techniques would help ppl w/ migraine communicate on high pain days, but I doubt any non-migraine person would engage such an idea!

@thismigrainelyf Terrible. I don't know if it is migraine itself or some of the meds I'm on but I have so many notes, reminder apps, and alarms set just to function.
