I got criticised for writing this last week. But Keir Starmer's statement to the House that due process was followed in the Mandelson appointment was a straightforward lie. People may not care. People may think Starmer is excused because Boris also used to lie. But it was a lie.

I naively placed my trust in the @Conservatives manifestos in 2010, 2015, 2017, and 2019, voting Conservative each time. Every single one turned out to be meaningless. Betrayal after betrayal: on immigration, housing, the NHS, taxes, and so much more. To the Tories, a manifesto is nothing but a cynical tool to win power, never a serious commitment to deliver on the pledges inside it. Last week I raised in Parliament the antisemitic chanting at the Al Quds Day hate protest. The Govt said it would do everything to stamp out antisemitism. One week later four Jewish ambulances torched in Golders Green. Words are not enough. Change the law and proscribe the IRGC.

At the next GE it will be a case of voting for any party other than Reform will be a vote for national suicide. For the sake of our grandchildren we must not allow our country to become an Islamic Caliphate....that is the road we will be on if we elect Socialists again.
