Because America's Boomers have been the largest economic and voting block in the country for the last several decades. This means the blame for the decline in living standards falls squarely in their lap and they are trying to shift blame by pretending they lived like a monk who took a vow of poverty.

@CarolinaLion2 We have tv ads and in some cases the actual paper ads from that time period. We have pictures, and yes video, from that period. Why are they trying to revise history like this?

When critics pointed out black-and-white factual errors from the beginning to the end of the NYT’s “Screams Without Words,” one of the most consequential fabrications in the paper’s history, used to justify a genocide, the paper steadfastly refused to address them. Only when video evidence emerged directly contradicting part of it did they offer a soft “update” to the piece. Note how differently critics of the Kristof piece are treated. Where the original article did not interview a single victim, Kristof spoke to 14, all corroborated in other ways too. The critics do not challenge a single fact, instead they argue that the behavior described is simply impossible, or dogs would never do that, and all the witnesses and victims are biased against Israel and should not be listened to. Not a single honest criticism of what he has reported has been presented that contradicts the facts he laid out. Yet those critics — who hysterically impugn his character and even in many cases suggest he should be executed — get a polite and respectful reply from the Times. (And in their reply they double down on their old Screams piece, stridently and without evidence.)

Readers offered questions and pushback about my investigation into sexual assaults against Palestinians by Israelis. So here are our answers: nytimes.com/2026/05/21/opi…

⭕️ Palestinian UN ambassador drops vice presidency bid after U.S. pressure Palestinian U.N. Ambassador Riyad Mansour is withdrawing his bid for vice president of the U.N. General Assembly, NPR reported, after the U.S. threatened to revoke visas for the Palestinian delegation if he did not stand down. A State Department cable instructed U.S. diplomats in Jerusalem to warn Palestinian officials that Mansour’s candidacy “fuels tensions” and risks undermining Trump’s Gaza plan, adding: “We will hold the PA responsible if the Palestinian delegation does not withdraw its VPGA candidacy.” The cable noted that visa sanctions previously waived for Palestinian U.N. officials could be reinstated. The Palestinian delegation relayed, through an Arab country, that Mansour would refrain from running for the next two years, in what observers described as a potential reference to the end of President Trump’s term. Lebanon’s ambassador will take his place, the U.N. said. Mansour had previously withdrawn his candidacy for the full presidency of the General Assembly following U.S. pressure in February, according to Reuters, which obtained the State Department cable.

Three documented facts from Barbara McQuade's Bloomberg analysis that close the accountability arc on this fund. Brian Morrissey, General Counsel of the Department of Treasury - the department that will actually distribute the money - resigned the same day the fund was created. Not a theatrical protest from a political appointee. The senior legal officer of the distributing department walked out. Michael Flynn pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI. He is now being compensated through a DOJ settlement for "wrongful prosecution" of that same charge. McQuade writes: "That settlement left open how Flynn would be paid. Now, we have an idea." Todd Blanche, asked specifically whether the fund could pay people who attacked Capitol Police officers on January 6, refused to rule it out. The DOJ cited the Keepseagle Fund as precedent. Keepseagle was court-approved, court-supervised, and compensated Native American farmers who documented discrimination by the USDA. This fund has no court oversight, no documentation requirement, and is self-administered by Trump's own appointees. Those are not the same precedent. The comparison is a deliberate inversion. Congress appropriated the Judgment Fund. Congress can hold oversight hearings, rescind the appropriation, or initiate impeachment for misappropriation. It has that authority. It has to choose to use it.

Trump’s $1.776 billion grift fund would disgust our Founding Fathers. Not only have Jan 6 attackers been pardoned, now they will be paid from taxpayer funds, based on lies and legal fiction. My thoughts in @opinion.bloomberg.com bloomberg.com/opinion/articl…

In 1998, I was fired from my corporate job while 9 months pregnant because and I quote, “my priorities would be elsewhere after the baby is born.” The lawyer I hired told me I didn’t have a case because discrimination like “that” was almost impossible to prove. So I got pissed. Took the LSAT. Went to law school. Passed the bar. Had 3 more kids. Twelve years later, another woman from that same company was fired for the same reason. She sued them for a million dollars, and won, partly because I had kept every piece of evidence from what happened to me years prior demonstrating a systemic pattern of discrimination against women. That company no longer exists. My law practice is thriving. And that baby they said would derail my priorities? She’s a brilliant attorney now working at my firm. Turns out my priorities were indeed, elsewhere.

I’ll go further. Pro life people are only pro life until the kid is out of the womb and then when you can’t afford the child they would tell you it’s your fault. They would vote to take away snap and free school lunch from your kid and give thoughts and prayers when your kid dies in a school shooting, or at a establishment that was meant to be safe but someone decided to shoot it up instead of creating gun regulations.

After how Goose and the cast was treated, I genuinely think Glitch and other indie creators need to revaluate how they interact with their fan bases going forward. The majority is fine of course. Genuinely supportive and passionate people. Some of y’all are actual actually evil.
