Spoke with several sources inside the UAA and they reiterated that no donors have been involved in the coaching search or hiring process. Unlike other schools, Florida’s boosters have never dictated a coaching search and they aren’t starting with this one.

Three of the last four LSU coaches won national titles. I love my alma mater, but four of the last four have been fired with no titles above SEC East, which no longer exists.

@andystaples So because they’ve had better luck recently in the crapshoot that is hiring coaches, they’re a better job? Got it. Everything Florida has in terms of facilities, NIL funds, resources, and donor support is on par with LSU. They are not a “way better” job than Florida.

We were probably there already, but that win made two things abundantly clear:
1. Kiffin should be UF’s top choice, and the UAA should do everything within their power to make that happen.
2. UF should be very prepared for potential contingencies.
