@ryancavengolf 10/10 A super test of golf. Full of history yet not flashy. The final stretch of holes is a challenge and a joy to navigate. Would hate to play it with lush rough though!

Just yards from the clubhouse, the 15th tee often serves as the starting point for members enjoying a quiet four-hole evening loop - often accompanied by their four-legged friend instead of a fellow member.

@JohnMorton215 @CambridgeGrey Great line up. Try to put Woking in there too. Simpson, Low, Paton, Darwin, Wethered, centre line bunkers, the 1st Surrey heathland course, etc

Thinking about planning a golf trip to England next Spring… Maybe a 5-6 day trip - focusing on courses and #GolfHistory around London. Hey @CambridgeGrey, where should I target? @WokingGolf Add in the railway right, a green that slopes front left to back right and a pin often tucked by the green side bunker and it’s still as strategic as 100 years ago despite distance gains.

The centreline bunkers on the 4th, secretly dug overnight by Stuart Paton and supported by John Low, are inspired by the Principal’s Nose at St Andrews. This bold move created strategy on the hole and unknowingly ushered in a new era of strategic course design.

A delightful morning at Aldeburgh Golf Club. Always refreshing to play at a club that upholds tradition rather than succumbing to modern trends. Exciting changes are nearly complete on an already outstanding course. @golfarchitects have done an outstanding job.

Monday’s visit to Woking was a timely reminder of why it’s one of our absolute favourites. The course was firm and their brilliant greens – which wouldn’t look out of place on the Kent coast – rolled great. If the true measure of a club is how much you want to play another after shaking hands on 18, then Woking is as good as it gets – with a drink on the verandah in between, of course.
