If no OF trades are made Perry gets to shift focus to acquiring pitching & an infielder and avoid getting sucked into corner OF bidding wars where he could potentially be left with nothing.

I haven’t been big on adding a DH only bat but as @BaseballGuy316 has mentioned Soler can be effectively hidden in LF when Soriano & Kochanowicz start. The lack of depth in 2024 was really magnified when looking at the DH spot in the lineup.

@OCHalosFan @TaylorBlakeWard He was a defensive liability in the OF and only played there because ATL already had Ozuna at DH. I really don’t understand this move as it’s going to take away the option of Trout at DH like you said.

@TaylorBlakeWard Soler was one guy who I kind of wanted the Angels to look at last offseason. My only concern was can he play in the field enough to give Trout some time at DH but after he was traded to Atl, he played in the OF every game. So good addition of a needed bat.

@cmittens1 @petecoh @JeffPassan I still think Victory+ would be the way to go. Stream the games for free in the local market, then simulcast the games on free local TV for the older folks that don’t stream. I’m going to be very curious how it plays out for the Ducks this season.

@MikeDeKalb @petecoh @JeffPassan the smart thing to do for all MLB would be to move from local broadcasts and stream direct, younger kids would get more invested into the game since they will get to watch their favorite players no matter the team. i dont think they care about growing the game.
