@CWGSomerville Also, another CB is a must. The group has a lot of potential, but it's an unproven group and three of them couldn't finish the season because of injury last year.

@CWGSomerville Could really use another midfielder. Oso is getting older and has missed chunks of seasons in each of the past 5 years and Cifuentes is far from a guarantee to be here past June.

This also likely means #TFCLive sticks with the same formation as last season. A depth chart of the photo below (with versatility based on health and opposition) is very solid. Add a DP9, and this team is a major contender in MLS.

It feels like everyone in the #TFCLive community has PTSD right now. There is clear desperation for TFC to make new signings, and justifiably so, but at the same time there’s an underlying crippling anxiety that all of the new signings are going to turn out as busts…

@MikeForbes101 Lazy, easy, convenient, doesn’t matter to me, it’s a striker with a pulse who’s got a bit of a history scoring goals 😅.

This would make a TON of sense for #TFCLive on loan. Manageable salary to fit under TAM, an experienced striker both in MLS and Europe, likely highly motivated ahead of the World Cup, and another domestic (which could work doubly well if they pivot from Sargent to an INT player.

On what happened where Tua didn't have that conviction McDaniel has mentioned a few times: This is a player who's M.O. had been growth, exceptional learner and he's always evolving. There's compounding variables. You can't pinpoint 1-2 things. I still believe his growth can continue but I couldn't responsibly play this next game with hope when there was an option available.

MLS plans to extend transfer windows a bit beyond when major European windows close after the schedule flips in summer of 2027. MLS also has gotten green light from FIFA and Concacaf to include the three Canadian MLS teams as domestic, so all 30 MLS clubs will be aligned.
