WATCH: Mayor David LaGrand laughs at an activist during yesterday’s open comment as she demands Grand Rapids adopt sanctuary city status and abolish the police department.
LaGrand appears to be growing exhausted with the droves of activists who speak at city commission meetings claiming he is “cloaked in white fragility.”
🇺🇸🇮🇷🇮🇱⚡️– CIA veteran John Kiriakou (1990-2004):
"During all my years in CIA, no matter who was Israeli Prime Minister, they all went to Washington and... no matter who was President... they asked, "Please, help us bomb Iran! Please!" And every president refused. Until this one, who agreed.
Netanyahu simply fooled him, and now we're fighting a war that wasn't ours to begin with and one we can't win."
NEW: Family Wants Justice After GRPD Release Preliminary Bodycam of De-Quain Johnson Fatal Shooting
Grand Rapids PD released partial Bodycam footage just days after the fatal shooting of De-Quain Johnson.
Officers were contacted about an armed man riding a bicycle. As they made contact, he fled.
Once in an apartment complex parking lot officers deployed a K9 less lethal unit to detain Johnson.
Johnson resisted on the ground and produced a firearm. Officers shot and Johnson passed away Thursday in the hospital.
Upon release, there has been community outrage.
"I saw somebody laying on their stomach with a dog on their back and two police officers behind them, and then I watched them shoot my son four times," Johnson’s mother said.
Officers recovered Johnson’s firearm.
Iran didn’t start this war.
Iran hasn’t invaded another country in 200 years.
Iran doesn’t compromise American politicians by providing kids for them to fuck.
Iran’s only crime is refusing to kneel.
@BRICSinfo Alliance! Iran should just stop already. @grok why is Iran fighting so much, what really happened, how did all this start- explain everything
You believed that? Despite clear evidence to the contrary?
The Iranian regime (Islamic Republic of Iran, established after the 1979 revolution) and its proxies—primarily Hezbollah, Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad, and various Shia militias in Iraq—have been responsible for the deaths of more than 1,000 Americans (civilian and military) over the past ~45–47 years.
This figure is a conservative, widely cited estimate from U.S. government sources, think tanks, and analyses. It includes direct actions and support for proxies (funding, training, arms, and operational direction). Exact totals are difficult to pinpoint due to attribution challenges in proxy warfare, underreporting in some periods, and debates over indirect responsibility (e.g., training provided to al-Qaeda for the 1998 embassy bombings). No comprehensive official U.S. government tally exists that includes every incident, but major documented cases add up as follows:
Major Incidents and Attributed Deaths
- 1983 Beirut bombings (Lebanon): Iran-backed Islamic Jihad/Hezbollah carried out attacks on U.S. targets.
- April 1983 U.S. Embassy bombing: 17 Americans killed.
- October 1983 Marine barracks bombing: 241 U.S. service members killed (220 Marines, 18 sailors, 3 soldiers). This remains one of the deadliest single attacks on U.S. forces since World War II.
- Additional 1983–1984 Beirut attacks (embassy annex, etc.): Several more Americans, including diplomats and service members.
- 1996 Khobar Towers bombing (Saudi Arabia): Iran-backed Hezbollah al-Hejaz truck bomb killed 19 U.S. airmen. A U.S. federal court ruled Iran directly responsible.
- Iraq War (2003–2011): Iran provided advanced weaponry (e.g., explosively formed penetrators/EFPs), training, and support to Shia militias (e.g., Kataib Hezbollah, Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq). The Pentagon attributes at least 603 U.S. troop deaths to these efforts—roughly 1 in 6 American combat fatalities in Iraq during that period. Some estimates range higher (up to ~1,100 when including broader indirect effects).
- October 7, 2023 Hamas attack on Israel (and aftermath): Iran-backed Hamas killed ~40–48 Americans (civilian victims, including dual nationals) and took others hostage (some later murdered). Iranian support for Hamas is long-standing (funding, arms, training).
- Other notable cases:
- 1998 U.S. embassy bombings in Kenya/Tanzania: 12 Americans killed; Iran/Hezbollah provided training and facilitation to al-Qaeda per the 9/11 Commission and court rulings.
- Scattered attacks in Israel (1990s–2000s) by Hamas/Islamic Jihad: Dozens of American civilians killed in bus bombings, restaurant attacks (e.g., Sbarro pizzeria), etc.
- Post-2019 proxy attacks (rockets, drones by Iraqi militias/Houthis): Additional U.S. contractor and service member deaths, including 3 soldiers in Jordan (2024) and injuries in dozens of incidents. Iran-backed groups conducted over 180 attacks on U.S. forces in Iraq/Syria/Jordan from late 2023 onward.
- 1980 failed hostage rescue (Operation Eagle Claw): 8 U.S. servicemen killed (indirectly tied to the 1979–1981 embassy hostage crisis, though the 52–66 hostages themselves survived).
### Broader Context and Caveats
- Total estimates: Multiple sources (U.S. officials, AJC, FDD, White House briefings, analyses) converge on over 1,000 Americans killed since 1979, with some placing it around 900–1,100+ when including all proxies and periods. This exceeds deaths attributed to any other single state sponsor of terrorism.
- operations). These add modestly to the long-term total.
These numbers reflect a sustained pattern of asymmetric warfare against U.S. interests, often targeting military peacekeepers, troops, or civilians abroad rather than attacks on U.S. soil. U.S. responses have included designations of Iran as the leading state sponsor of terrorism, sanctions, and targeted actions against proxies and IRGC personnel.
@DarrenBrow88977@AmyLC73576163@hell_line0 Actually since 1953 when the CIA overthrew their democratically elected leader. Now that you see how dumb you are go read some history retard.
@AmyLC73576163@hell_line0 You keep lying ---- Since the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran has viewed the U.S. as a primary adversary (often calling it "The Great Satan"), but it has never issued a formal diplomatic declaration of war.
@KentGra88631041@zacurate Gee what caused the 1979 Islamic revolution? Oh the CIA overthrowing their government in 1953 so they started to hate us. Go read a book retard
Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini (1902–1989)
He was the revolutionary cleric who led the 1979 Islamic Revolution that toppled the Shah of Iran.
• The Founder: He established the system of Velayat-e Faqih (Guardianship of the Islamic Jurist), which grants absolute political and religious authority to the Supreme Leader.
• Legacy: His teachings remain the ideological foundation of the Iranian state, though the country is currently facing its most significant existential challenge since the 1979 Revolution due to the ongoing war.
@AlesZelinka555@ObtainerOf It was literally a Pahlavi who coined the name Iran “Land of the Aryans”.
And his bloodline will be restored again.
Fuckin the Islamic revolution.
@attiep85@ThaShogun12@sneako You’re black and don’t understand anything because your IQ is on average about 75. You don’t understand history because you’re stupid.
@ThaShogun12@sneako How is this a senseless war in women having beef with Iran since 1979 who keeps exporting their Islamic revolution in supporting terrorism that's been a pain in the ass to the West and who was trying to make nuclear weapons?
To understand Iran today, you have to go back to 1979.
That’s when the Islamic Revolution replaced Iran’s monarchy with a theocratic regime that still rules today.
@DeepFakeQuote CIA overthrew Irans democratically elected government in 1953. This led to Iran and Muslims becoming more extreme. That’s what led to the 1979 revolution. Stupid ass
