If you followed anything about who and how Keith Pelley runs any business he involved with none of this is suprises, it's been warned thousands of time but all to the deaf ears of the hockey experts. Keith Pelley has always run the same playbook: cut costs, squeeze margins, and call it "strategy". The problem? It always comes at the expense of the very players and long-term health of the business he’s supposed to be growing. Short-term gains, long-term damage.

Total agreement. No NHL Insider has got the "balls" to actually press him on it. This isn’t new behavior from Keith Pelley, this is how he ran TSN, EU Golf and now MLSE, it’s been his MO for decades. At some point, you have to ask him directly, what did you think is going to happen when you keep your own inflated ego cause according to Keith "smartest man in room just ask him he never shy to brag" & prioritizing cost-cutting over the very people and product that drive the business?
