Took my daughter to see The Mandalorian & Grogu last night. We had fun, but honestly, it’s pretty disappointing that it’s been almost 7 years since a Star Wars movie hit theaters, and this is what we get. The best way I can describe it is an extended theatrical filler episode of The Mandalorian. It plays things very safe. Nothing bold, nothing that really moves the bigger story forward. The plot feels thin, and by the end it doesn’t feel like much actually happened. It all feels small. That said, it was fun enough. It kept her locked in the whole time, which says something. She was tired and easily could have fallen asleep, but didn’t. The action works, Mando is cool, Grogu is still Grogu. And to be fair, the relationship between Mando and Grogu still has heart. Those moments land and remind you why people connected with them in the first place. But that’s also the issue. It leans heavily into being a family movie. Cute moments, simple action, familiar beats. And I don’t understand why they can’t give us a good Pixar-level story on top of that. Something deeper. Something that actually sticks. Even she said it herself: the story didn’t really go anywhere. So yeah, pretty vanilla. Fun in the moment, especially with your kids, but ultimately forgettable. I enjoyed the time together, so I’m glad we went. Feels like a letdown. On a personal level, as a literal lifetime Star Wars fan (it was the second movie I ever saw in theaters when I was less than 2 years old), it’s sad to see Star Wars go from a true cinematic event to something that feels like a glossy TV episode on the big screen. There used to be a sense that every Star Wars movie mattered. Now it just feels like more content. 😐

I am deeply grateful for the trust President Trump placed in me and for the opportunity to lead @ODNIgov for the last year and a half. Unfortunately, I must submit my resignation, effective June 30, 2026. My husband, Abraham, has recently been diagnosed with an extremely rare form of bone cancer. He faces major challenges in the coming weeks and months. At this time, I must step away from public service to be by his side and fully support him through this battle.

This account is a documentary, not a sermon. It’s my journey, not instructions for yours. My name is Craig. I’m 50, live in South Florida, born in Canada. “SCHD STAN” is a persona. It’s fun. I love $SCHD, but it’s not my only holding, and this isn’t a cult. I’m a long term investor focused on balance. I believe you can take something from every investing style dividends, growth, value and build your own approach. If you own both value and growth, you don’t have to chase performance when cycles shift. You’re already in it. That’s how I invest. My largest position is the S&P 500. I DCA into it every two weeks no matter what. $SCHD is number two. I also own individual stocks like $GOOGL, $AAPL, $META, $AMZN, $V along with ETFs like $SCHG, $FDVV, $CGDV, $DGRO, $SMH $VYMI. So why do I talk so much about $SCHD? Because I think it’s one of the most misunderstood ETFs out there. It’s not just about yield. It combines a strong starting yield, consistent dividend growth, and solid long term appreciation. To me, it helps balance out a portfolio that leans heavier toward growth and tech. Not instead of growth, alongside it. My goal is to steadily build my $SCHD position to $1M+ over time, creating a growing income stream for myself and my family for years to come. On this account I track my journey, share thoughts in real time, estimate SCHD’s quarterly dividends, and run my own version of the annual reconstitution to anticipate additions and removals. I also highlight dividend raises across holdings, report earnings for major holdings, post daily price updates, and share news on the fund and the companies it holds. All to better understand how it works and share that with anyone interested. Outside of investing, I enjoy running, watching football, movies, doing push-ups, and spending time with my family. I’m not here to tell you what to buy. Just showing how I do it. Step by step. Share by share. For the long run. Let’s chat. Tell me how you’re building your portfolio. Ask me anything about mine or $SCHD, how I think about it, how I’m building it. Thanks for stopping by to read this. 😎

@MikeObs029 @MarcosMillaYT 2021 stocks that IPO'd are not comparable to the situation of today (SpaceX, OpenAI, Anthropic) because 2021 IPO stocks were not slated for inclusion in the index & had low mkt cap anyway. S&P, Nasdaq should look out for the poor investor & increase these stock weights gradually
