My pool is white-gray, and I don’t like how easily it shows stains. However, because my pool is deeper, I prefer a lighter color for safety reasons

@theYear2178 @MikeReinders @oldbrokdd @ShannonBream Outside temperature and water temperature are not the same thing. An 85° day does not mean the water is 85°. Ideal growth for algae is 85°. You must also consider chemistry (from what I understand is now fixed) & night time temperatures.

However, it shouldn’t matter if the chemicals are done correctly, filters are working correctly & you aren’t losing chemicals due to water loss. Lots of people have black bottom pools & love them.

I wouldn’t even swim in my pool if it was only 89 degrees outside. I would actually need the heater on because that water would be too cold. Good chemistry stops algae growth.

However, the pipe used in the filtration system was the wrong size, which caused leaks. The 2026 repairs corrected the faulty piping in the filtration system.
