Great news for Tseshaht/Hupacasath fishers, as reported by Andy Olson, Fisheries Manager/Biologist for Tseshaht First Nation. @andypafish #economicopportunity #nuuchahnulth

What a great night. Big numbers last night. The catch is looking to be around 12,000 fish. Depending on the average weight the opening generated $550,000-600,000 for Tseshaht and Hupacasath fishers. The benefits to Port Alberni and the surrounding communities are known.

Traffic Advisory: 10th Avenue Closure at North Park Drive
Starting Monday, May 28 and continuing through to Friday, June 1, 2018, 10th Avenue at North Park Drive will be closed to through traffic due to sewer main construction.
A local detour will be in effect.
