My OpenAI contract has wrapped up, and I'm looking for my next role. For nearly two years, I've been building robust AI chats, MCP tools, AI UI integrations (MCP Apps), and more. I wrote some of the first Codex plugins: Their plugin evaluator, a comprehensive data visualization plugin, and more. If you or your team are looking for someone to drive your AI efforts – AI powered apps, backend AI processes, code assistant optimizations, AI driven business processes, etc. – I'd love to chat.

1/ At @ThisDotLabs, I built a Codex Plugin, called Build Web Data Visualization with DevEx Lead @coreyching from OpenAI. With this plugin, Codex uses image gen to design the app and then implements it really well. See the examples below. Claude can’t do this!🧵

@AlemTuzlak It's alright, the modern United States is basically 1980s Yugoslavia. Give us another decade or two.

We had a (relatively small) "bad architectural choice" leak into our codebase that went unnoticed for a few weeks. Normally, that'd stay small and hidden. Now, coding agents discover the bad choice and propagate it across the entire codebase. We're transitioning from fixing small bugs to bringing in a mop to clean up all that mess. This is Industrial Spillage.
Sam Julien@samjulien

New AI eng term from @MikeRyanDev: "Industrial Spillage" Coding agents rapidly accelerate tech debt choices in a codebase. In the before times, one bad choice could stay small or localized. Today, a bad architectural choice can spread as fast as wildfire.

We're bringing AG-UI agents to Slack and Teams at @CopilotKit, and we're currently dogfooding our implementation with an internal agent called Kite. We broke its trigger mechanism this morning, and now it's replying to everything in our Slack instance, leading to this gem.

My take on self-learning: it's less a buzzword than it sounds. It's semantic + episodic + procedural memory becoming something you can scope per user or project. Memory is how an agent actually learns your product: every interaction becomes context it carries forward. The key is that, with every interaction, the agent gets better over time.

I had to reschedule a 1:1 because Team USA scored in the middle of it and I could no longer hear the other person.
