SITUATION DETECTED: Minnesota has become the first state to ban prediction markets like Polymarket and Kalshi. The new law, signed by Gov. Tim Walz, makes it a felony to create, operate, manage, or advertise a prediction market in the state.

It was an honor to co-sponsor the Attorney General’s Medicaid Fraud Control Unit legislation, which passed in the HHS omnibus. This provides them funding and tools to continue their strong record. The unit is nationally ranked in fraud convictions, charges, and investigations.
