On the 11th of September 2001, the World woke up to a changed world as Al Qaeda attacked the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Today, 24 years later, we wake up to learn that the brightest Light in the Global Right, the very best among us, has been Extinguished in cold blood. 1/6

Here’s why the ISLAMIC regime in IRAN is our number ONE ENEMY and Israel is NOT. PEACE is what we should aim for, but not with an Islamic terrorist regime in Iran. God bless the UAE. God bless America. God bless the Iranian people.

We hear a lot about this 1:1 ratio and I think it’s worth considering none of us would like to be on the other side of this equation. If the enemy was attacking us and saying “we are only killing one of your civilians for one of your soldiers,” none of us would want to be that “collateral damage.” Some wars in history involved large armies confronting primarily combatants, such as the battle of the Somme or Gettysburg. I think most of us would prefer to be civilians in that war, usually able to avoid the battle. If you read about Gettysburg and there had been thousands of civilians killed we’d see it differently. It’s true that modern wars are sometimes tragically fought among civilians. However, precision weapons have also ostensibly given us an ability to avoid casualties. If there are 1,000 enemy infantry in a town of 1,000 people, and the town is not an essential objective, is it good to destroy the whole place? I don’t think we’d want our civilians on the bad side of that equation. The ratio is problematic. The goal, especially with precision munitions, should be very low civilian casualties, not just the brute force of large numbers of casualties. It’s best to consider this number if we are the civilians that can be victims too. And I don’t think any of us want to be on that side of the equation. Better to humanize the civilians than just see them as a ratio. Let’s all take a step back and think hard on this.

The New York Times reports that a little over 300 people were killed in these airstrikes. That may sound like a lot, but realize that 60% of those killed (180+, according to the post below) were terrorists, who are legitimate targets in military operations. That means the ratio of combatant to civilian deaths is *less than* 1:1, which is insanely low if you know anything about historical averages in wars dating back many decades.

I met with one of my constituents who bravely served in Afghanistan, and he did me the incredible honor of presenting me with his ribbon rack. He and the people he served with have seen forever wars their entire lives. It is time for these needless, thoughtless wars to end.

@MikeShaw42 @CogitoEdu how do you coexist with a tumor? you don’t, you excise it or you irradiate it. otherwise, you die. the palestinians are indigenous, their war is just, and you only won in the first place because of the wealth you accumulated through centuries of usury and procurement.

@CogitoEdu this part of the world used to be known as the “pale of jewish settlement” because of how many jews lived here. needless to say, if jewish people wanted a state, it should’ve been made in one of these countries.

“Is antiZionism related to antisemitism?” AntiZionism is the thin coat of shellac that Jew-haters use to pretend they're not antisemitic. Everybody sees through it. The only people who pretend that there's a difference are the antisemites. AntiZionism is to antisemitism as a square is to a rectangle. Not all rectangles fit the definition of squares, but all squares are rectangles. The United Nations gave legal existence to the state of Israel, and Israel then fought for and won the right to exist as the homeland of the Jewish people. Antisemites try to prove that not all Jews are descended from ancient Israelites, but it's a stupid argument. The Jewish people decide who counts as a Jew. Nobody else has a say in the matter. Jew-hating bigots who wish for the genocide of Jews accuse Israel of genocide. People who want to ghettoize Jews call Israel an apartheid state. BOTH charges are slanderous lies, antisemites accusing Israel of their own sins and desires. NonJews in Israel are freer and more prosperous than Muslims in any Muslim nation. Israel has never started a war with anybody, but they have fought preemptively to defeat nations and organizations that have committed acts of war and declared war against them. If Israel's neighbors had accepted the UN boundaries instead of attempting to slaughter Jews and wipe Israel off the map, there is no rational indication that Israel would not have remained within those borders. Jewish immigrants to Israel bought all the land they lived, farmed, or manufactured on — none of the land was stolen. Palestine was an impoverished backwater of the Ottoman Empire until Jewish settlers, farming with rifles strapped to their backs, subdued the bandits that had long terrorized the inhabitants of Canaan. Only when Canaan had been pacified and economically stimulated by Jewish immigrants did Palestine become a desirable place to live. Then Arabs immigrated to Palestine precisely because of what Jews had made of the place. Because newly arrived Jews were prosperous where Arabs had failed to thrive, they were resented … but if all Jews had been driven out then, there is no reason to believe that “Palestine” would not have immediately reverted to the lawless, feckless, impoverished, unproductive region it had been before. Whatever Canaan might have been when Moses arrived millennia ago (a land of “milk and honey”), it was an anarchic desert when the Zionists arrived to make it a fit homeland for the stateless Jews scattered through the world. Let no one be fooled by the lies of the Jew-hating antiZionists. They are murderous Hitlers and Himmlers in their hearts. They are all abetters of the monstrous crimes of October 7.
