This week’s #FluorescenceFriday user is Madeline Ryan, a research technician in the @tonytsai00 lab! @madeline__ryan uses #HCRimaging as a robust way to map cell-type expression patterns of different adhesion molecules and signaling pathway players in the developing zebrafish spinal cord. This week’s #FluorescenceFriday user is Julia Peloggia de Castro, a PhD candidate in @LabPiotrowski at @ScienceStowers! @jupeloggia studies developmental plasticity using the zebrafish lateral line and ionocytes. #HCRimaging enabled her to map gene co-expression with single cell resolution even in crowded tissues. This week’s #FluorescenceFriday user is Joshua Raji, a postdoctoral fellow in the Potter Lab @flyknows! @jojshmanraji’s favorite aspect of #HCRimaging is that whenever he visualizes his images on the confocal microscope, “the signals are bright with less background, and it always works like magic!” Check out his stunning HCR RNA-FISH images of the mosquito antenna below:

This week’s Research Spotlight is on the Lopéz et al. (2023) publication, “Molecular characterization of nervous system organization in the hemichordate Saccoglossus kowalevskii!” #HCRimaging enabled Lopéz et al. to characterize the expression of multiple neural markers, which revealed S. kowalevskii’s strong regional specialization of its nervous system. mapzebrain, the open-source atlas of the zebrafish brain, now also contains detailed gene expression maps. The atlas allows seamless integration of diverse data modalities, making it an important research tool accessible to everyone. science.org/doi/10.1126/sc… @IShainer @Enmyco

This week’s #FluorescenceFriday user is on Petra Popovics, a former lab member in @labRicke at @wiscobrien! #HCRimaging helped @PopovicsPetra identify different immune cell types in the mouse prostate and localize Spp1 expression in luminal microphages.
