Is there a case that the "Tiger Slam" is actually more impressive than the Grand Slam? Hear me out... Take this year, if you win all four majors, the span is 14 weeks. Golfers can get on hot runs. Look at Xander in 2024, Brooks in 2018, Padraig in 2008. When Tiger won the four majors in a row, the wins spanned 42 weeks. Tiger spent 8 months with three majors before teeing it up at Augusta. A player in 2026 would have to wait just 24 from the US Open to The Open. Of course, they would have the pressure of the obvious narrative throughout the year about becoming the first player to capture the "modern" Grand Slam, but go back and you'll see Tiger faced similar narratives at the end of 2000. Just a thought. What do you think?

The "he got an unfair advantage!" folks on this stupid, stupid app who generate so much angst and anger around the idea that Rory is one of the greatest players in history bring me so much delight. Like, please do continue replying to all of us with things like "get off your knees" (and much more vile stuff than that) because I am absolutely going to continue enjoying writing about and covering a once-in-a-generation golfer. Nothing could be more fun than the most dynamic person currently in the sport somehow also being one of the 10 best to ever do it. And so many people (bots, whatever) cannot help themselves but to rage against the joy of these events and the beauty disclosed by his game. Just try and enjoy something wonderful!
