@PatrickChiotti and I were joined by Money @Mike_WeberII, a long-time friend of @D1__JW, who discussed what Jaylen Waddle is like on and off the football field, in addition to what he'll bring to the Broncos offense

Whether you like the Waddle trade or not, the whole 'timeline' thing rings hollow to me. The man is 27, with three years left on his contract. 'Not on timeline' makes it sound like a 6 year rebuild, which it's not. I'm fine with the trade, but this is believing 1 and 3 and better 4 - in their eyes - are better than Waddle.

Pittsburgh got Michael Pittman Jr. by trading a R6 pick (getting back a R7).
Denver got Jaylen Waddle by trading R1, R3 and R4 picks (getting back a R4):
Since 2021:
Pittman: 445-4751-24
Waddle: 373-5039-26
Since 2021, per 17 games:
Pittman: 92-985-5
Waddle: 81-1098-6
Since 2023:
Pittman: 258-2744-14
Waddle: 194-2668-12
Since 2023, per 17 games:
Pittman: 90-952-5
Waddle: 73-1008-5
Waddle's more productive, but not by much.
Denver got a talented receiver, but the Broncos didn't get a steal. If anything, the Broncos paid too high a price.
Bottom line: Only if they win a Super Bowl will it be worth it. If they get the big ring, the trade is a success. That's how this will be measured.
